William E. Perkinson

Will offers his clients over two decades of legal experience developed across an exceptionally wide variety of practice areas.

Assisting with real estate transactions, wills and estates, family law matters, and business needs, Will’s primary goal has always been to offer thoughtful and practical solutions informed by experience.  Will relies on constructive dialogue, creative research, efficient advocacy, and dedication to the client’s interests as the foundation of his solicitor’s practice.

Will started working in Canadian law in 2020 for an established Victoria firm and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2021.  His diversity of practice areas and background is useful and highly regarded by the people from the Peninsula towns and island communities he serves.  While the large majority of his matters proceed away from the courtroom, Will has appeared before the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and even the Court of Appeal.

Before Canada, Will served as a municipal judge in Oregon, among other legal roles going back to 2005.  In his general practice firm, Will handled property, corporate, and estate files, as well as many civil and criminal courtroom matters.  Will also worked in the Tribal Court for a large First Nations Confederation.

Will earned his Juris Doctor from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon.  He was born and raised outside of Richmond, Virginia, and attended university in North Carolina. In 2019 Will and his family relocated here.

A firm community supporter, Will has served on a public library board, a historic theatre renovation board, a local marijuana rules panel, and in several regional Bar association roles, among others. Will is active with several of his neighbourhood’s associations, and enjoys training and crafting cocktails when he is not boating or supporting his children in their events.
